A three minute demonstration video of the Tomorrow's Biodiversity taxonomy visualisation tool which explore taxonomies managed by both GBIF (Global Biodiversity Information Facility) and NBN (National Bioidversity Network). You can search for organisms and build phylogenic trees showing their positions within the taxonomies. The global GBIF taxonomy is know as the 'GBIF Backbone Taxonomy'. The NBN taxonomy is UK specific, created primarily to facilitate access to the NBN Gateway. Both are accessed through publicly accessible web services (REST web services) and displayed with the help of the Data Driven Documents (D3) javascript library - particularly the 'Tree Layout' feature.
