In this video, I share a solution for M1 Mac/Macbook users who want to get HDMI 2.1 functionality for their devices. This is particularly useful if you have a display that only has HDMI 2.1 inputs, like the LG OLED C1, C2, C3, and other OLED TVs and you are trying to use them as a computer monitor.
The solution involves a special dongle that can convert your Mac's USB-C or Thunderbolt port to DisplayPort, and then convert that to an HDMI 2.1 signal. This allows your Mac to send HDMI 2.1 signals, enabling 4K 120Hz display on your TV.
Please note that you'll need a Windows machine with Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 to install the necessary firmware on the dongle. I'll guide you through the entire process in this video.
