15-minute movement break for the whole body! If you’ve been sitting a lot or if you tend to sit a lot, you probably know how stuck that can make you feel. So, I made this practice to counter sitting 😀
In this video, I lead you through a gentle practice that targets the areas that often get tight from sitting: hip flexors, hamstrings, back, and shoulders. You can expect poses like Rolling Cat-Cows, Thread-the-Needle, Melting Heart, and Reclining Dragon. This is not a sweaty practice, so you can easily add this to your working day without needing to shower afterwards – just push the chair and desk aside and get yourself on the mat for 15 minutes.
The only prop we need for this practice is a yoga block, or you could use a pillow, a rolled up towel or a book instead – anything you can use for supporting the pelvis in the Supported Bridge and Reclining Dragon poses.
This practice is suitable for all levels from beginners to more experienced yogis. Everyone is welcome to join in!
