( English ) The German invasion of Norway began on 8 April 1940 after the Guard Boat Pol 3 came into battle with the German torpedo boat albatross. Norway during the invasion it had over 60,000 Soldiers in its army. Another reason why Germany went to war against Norway is because it wanted the iron ore that was transported from Luleå in Sweden to Narvik in Norway. On 8 April, the British chose to mine the Norwegian coast to stop the transport of the Swedish iron ore. Also, the Altmark incident was something that made Germany go into the kirg against Norway. Meanwhile, in Denmark, the Germans crossed the German-Danish border to launch an invasion of Denmark at the same time as Germany invaded Norway.
