Ohio Supplier Recalls Chocolate Milk

Green Field Farms Dairy (Fredericksburg, OH) has recalled its Whole Chocolate Milk product, with a code date of Sept. 21, due to a lab analysis that indicated this product was not effectively pasteurized.

1,242 units were distributed in nine states and Washington DC from Sept. 7-16. The issue is isolated to Whole Chocolate Milk with an expiration date of Sept. 29.

Chutney Recalled for Sulfites

Joy Gourmet Foods Inc. (Maspeth, NY) is recalling its Joy Brand Coriander chutney because it contains undeclared sulfites coconut and FD&C yellow #5.

The product comes in 8 oz. clear glass jar packaged and was distributed in NY, NJ and PA in retail stores.


Salad Dressing Recalled for Botulism

Drew’s Organics (Chester, VT) recalling one lot code of Aldi Simply Nature Organic Poppy Seed Dressing due to a processing issue that could allow for microbial growth.

The product comes in a 12 fl. oz. glass bottle with the Best if Used By date of Feb 15 2023, and UPC #4099100023169. It was distributed to select Aldi stores between Aug. 20 and Sept. 10 in 30 states.


Bagged Kale Recall

Baker Farms (Norman Park, GA) is recalling their Baker Farms, Kroger & SEG Grocers brand names of Kale, 1-lb plastic bags with Best By 09-18-2021 107020-21832 due to Listeria risk.

They were distributed between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, packaged in clear plastic and sold primarily in retail stores located in AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MO, MS, NC, NY and VA.


Ohio Supplier Recalls 320 Boxes of Parsley

Buurma Farms Inc. (Willard, OH) is recalling 320 boxes of its Plain Parsley after testing showed risk for E.coli. It was harvested Aug. 30 from Buurma’s Gregory, MI location.

It was sold and shipped in 30-count cartons to retailers in OH and MI between Aug. 31 and Sept. 30. It was also sold in 60-count crates to wholesalers in IL, PA, NY and SC between Sept. 2 and Sept. 4.


Jumbo Stuffed Shells Recalled for Metal

Seviroli Foods Inc. (Bellmawr, NJ) is recalling 22 oz. H-E-B Jumbo Stuffed Shells due to potential for metal in the product. Aaffected products were distributed to H-E-B stores in TX.

The issue was discovered on Sept. 9 after H-E-B was notified of four customer complaints.


Fake USDA Stamp Triggers Empanada Recall

SAS Foods Enterprises (Elk Grove, IL) has recalled 3,768 pounds of frozen beef and chicken empanada products that were produced without federal inspection and bear a label with a false USDA mark of inspection.

These items were shipped to retail consignees in IL, IN, MN, OH and WI.
