Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang had the honor and pleasure of attending the 89th birthday celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at the Dalai Lama Temple in McLeodganj.

The celebration underscored the enduring impact of His Holiness's teachings on compassion, peace, and harmony.

Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by Sikyong (CTA) Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, and the entire team of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).

It was a memorable occasion that the Chief Minister will cherish forever, and he feels deeply privileged to have been a part of such a significant event.

The programme was also attended by Speaker Mr MN Sherpa, Ministers Mr Bhim Hang Subba, Mr Puran Gurung and Mr Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, MLA’s Mr Sanjit Kharel and Mr Erung Lepcha, DoP Secretary (Rtd) and Former Chairman (ARC) Mr, Tenzing Gelek, Principal RC Mr AK Chand, and CMO Secretary Dr. SD Dhakal including the representatives of the local Tibetan Assembly in Gangtok, along with executive members of the six Tibetan associations and the students from Sikkim.
