This is a hymn from the service of Shubqono (Forgiveness). Shubqono is a service of preparation and forgiveness and is marked by forty prostrations and the kiss of peace. This service is celebrated as part of the Sixth Hour (noon) prayers on the First Monday of Great Lent. The gospel reading for this service is Matthew 18:18-35. This is the first stanza of the qolo that is chanted after the reading of the Gospel.

( even though the Mar Thoma Church, calls itself "reformed" and is in comunion with the Anglicans and does not fully suscribe to the Oriental Orthodox faith; they still follow a lot of of the Syriac liturgy and Syriac vestments. Let us pray and hope that they see the truth of Oriental Orthodox faith and the futility of having to "reform" the faith handed down by the fathers)
