STORYLINE:
Más de 300 corredores, en su mayoría tarahumaras, participaron en un ultra maratón en la Sierra Madre en el estado mexicano de Chihuahua el domingo.
La carrera de 100 kilómetros es una tradición ancestral de los rarámuri o "pies ligeros como se conoce al pueblo nativo Tarahumara.
El ultra maratón, ahora en su vigésima edición, es una prueba de resistencia a través de los sinuosos caminos de la rocosa Sierra Madre.
Con sus vestimentas tradicionales y sus guaraches, los tarahumaras comenzaron la carrera desde temprano junto a otros corredores de varias partes del mundo.
Los tarahumaras son conocidos en el mundo como los mejores corredores de larga distancia.
