As a detransitioner I sometimes get refered to as an ex-trans person. This implies that I was a trans person to begin with. I was never trans. Ex-trans sounds too much like ex-gay which usually refers to people who have "become straight" as a a result of conversion therapy or finding religion. Detransition usually has nothing to do with conversion therapy. I was wrong about my identity, I didn't stop being trans just like just like bisexuality person who used to think they were gay is not an ex-gay.
