Olympian Archer, Shehzana Anwar retained her number one national ranking in the Women's Recurve after beating her opponents in the national archery Inter Clubs Challenge held over the weekend, at Strathmore University.
Anwar shot an overall best of 596 points in 12 rounds of six arrows each, during the National Archery Organization ( NAOK) organized event. The event, sanctioned by World Archery attracted players from different clubs around the capital.
NAOK used the event as preparation and selection of potential players to take part in next year's Africa Archery Championships. The reformed National Archery Organization of Kenya is in the process of registration and will be the official World Archery sanctioned association in the country.
