EIT Food, Europe’s leading food innovation initiative, proudly invites you to "Future of Food in Cities" where it will unveil the new French Hub in Paris.
During this festive event, existing and new EIT Food Partners will share testimonials and success stories of their efforts, in collaboration with EIT Food, to make the food system in cities more sustainable, healthy and trusted.
The event will be held in Cirque, the new Food start-up culinary atelier, where start-ups can test their new food concepts with citizens in the heart of Paris. The food and drinks provided at the event will showcase some of these Parisian startups.
Various keynotes (TBA) and roundtables will furthermore address and explore the challenges the future holds for the food system and the solutions that start-ups have found for them, specifically on:
the Future of Proteins
Local Sustainability & Regenerative Agriculture
Circular Food Systems / Food Waste / Packaging
Healthy Citizens - Access to Healthy Food for Everyone
We will give an overview of how these challenges connect with the key themes of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), aiming for a beautiful, sustainable and inclusive Europe, followed by the introduction of the NEB 2022 Project and corresponding call for applications.
Last but not least, a key aspect of successful innovation is the collaborations between start-ups and corporates. We will demonstrate the benefits of such collaborations and foster matchmaking through demo's, start-ups pitches, break-out rooms, and providing networking opportunities.
