Cheetos and chili might seem like an unusual inspiration, but designer Andrew Howard's vision was to create a family-friendly home where bright-orange fingers wouldn’t cause stress. Prioritizing durability, he opted for scuff-proof paint, vinyl flooring, outdoor furniture, sisal rugs, and wipeable wallcoverings. Embracing nostalgia, Howard filled the space with sentimental photos and artwork. He even commissioned a local artist to paint a botanical motif on the staircase, sealed with a tough varnish, and finished the banister with an easy-to-clean high-gloss coat.
