Hi all! Here is a first glimpse at my new short film project - DCS: SKY INFERNO. Using in-game footage from DCS World by Eagle Dynamics, it's based on true events which occurred during Operation Argument ( "Big Week") in February 1944 with the 306th Bombardment Group - Production has finally begun, after months of research, test footage, liveries and mission making in the ME. Special thanks go to the 306th Bomb Group Historical Association, the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force and the Air Force Historical Research Agency, for providing so many details and giving me access to the full missions reports.
Disclaimer: In February 1944, the P-51B was still in use - But DCS World only provides the D variant, which only started operations later in March 1944 - Same goes with this B-17G version of DCS World. It can't be 100% as accurate as we'd like. I try my best but honestly, these are details that won't affect the story, which remains the most important thing here.
This first trailer is made of test footage only and do not use actual shots from the film. The goal was to get a first taste of what the movie should look like. Hope you'll enjoy! Thank you all so much for the support!!! Fly safe. Fly Metal. Greetings from France ++
