Man-Portable Air Defense Systems, or MANPADS, are a type of shoulder-launched surface-to-air missile systems. These systems are designed to provide infantry units with portable air defense capabilities against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles, allowing for greater flexibility and mobility on the battlefield.

In this video, we are looking at one of the more popular MANPAD systems today – the Polish-made Piorun MANPADS.
