The fully-electric version of the Peugeot 2008 has landed in Australia. The e-2008 has a few big foibles, but can it make up for that in other areas? Let’s find out!
On test is a 2023 Peugeot e-2008 GT in Vertigo Blue over black alcantara interior trim.
It brings all of the familiar exterior flair and polarising interior design of the regular 2008 small crossover and underpins it with 100kW and 260Nm single-motor electric drive.
The e-2008 fits a modest 50kWh (gross) battery and comes with a range claim of 328kms, which we put to the test in this video.
At $59,990 before on-roads, the E-2008 GT is cheaper than Tesla Model 3 and Model Y but more expensive than price-busting EVs such as BYD Atto 3 and MG4. And it’s set to go directly head to head against Cupra Born on the electric car landscape.
