This video was shot and recorded in New York City on 181st street and A train station and on 59th street and 1 train - Columbus Circle Station
For us is MTA not only a way to get to places, but also a stage for musicians and all forms of art. It's a space where you can share music that you believe in and hopefully make a difference for some New Yorkers in their everyday subway ride.
Classical music doesn't have to be listened to only in a proper dress or fancy suit, it can surprise you and make you feel at places and times when you don't expect it and yet enjoy.
Pavlina and Drew performing Russian song "V molchan'ji no chi tajnoj" (Op.4 No.3)by Sergei Rachmaninoff in New York City Subway.
Translation:
In the silence of the night
In the silence of mysterious night,
your alluring babble, smiles and glances,
your fleeting glances, the locks of your rich hair, locks pliant under my fingertips-
I will long be trying to get rid of the images only to call them back again;
I will be repeating and correcting in a whisper
the words I've told you, the words full of awkwardness.
And drunk with love, contrary to reason,
I will be awakening the night's darkness with your cherished name.
