While staying in Playa Del Carmen, we decided to adventure out into the ancient city of Coba, from 800bc. Where we had the chance to climb up a Mayan Ruin Temple, and do some cliff jumping into a fresh water Cenote,
Coba is about an hour and 1/2 from Playa, but the only place you can actually climb on top of the temple to really get a feel for what it was like! The cenotes were only 3 km to the left when you come out of Coba's main entrance, and it was 70 peso's per person for the entry to coba (about 4 dollars) and the cenote was 55 Pesos per person.
