One Tigris Smokey Hut Hot Tent w/ Stovejack & Inner Mesh Tent, Quick Review
I purchased this cheap tipi hot tent & inner nest from One Tigris at the end of 2019. At the time, a stove jack was not available, so I sewed my own from material from RipstopByTheRoll.com. It’s an affordable way to get into a hot tent for winter camping, although the quality and specs aren’t as nice as some of the USA made options. It’ll still save the pocketbook a bit in comparison.
My lil helper wanted to camp outside this week, so I finally set up the screen tent around midnight after getting home from work and rain was in the forecast. About as soon as I started setting it up, it started sprinkling a little bit. I installed the outer tent over the inner mesh nest and rigged out the guylines. The gentle sounds of the rain pitter pattering against the silnylon tent drowned out any highway noises nearby and made sleeping pleasant. Upon waking, the floor of the tent was completely dry.
It appears there have been a few minor changes to the tent since I purchased mine, but it’s basically the same specs & setup. Just costs a few more nickels due to inflation.
