Japan has become a preferred destination for Australians travelling overseas, with the Japanese Yen languishing at a 30-year low.
NAB's head currency strategist, Ray Attrill says the currency is weak because the nation has very low interest rates.
The Bank of Japan hasn't followed the US Federal Reserve in hiking rates.
He says the Australian Dollar is also close to its highest level against the greenback this year because the market is getting more fearful that the RBA isn't done raising interest rates.
