This Stone Legion Generals boss guide will show you the Stone Legion Generals abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Stone Legion Generals fight. Mythic Stone Legion Generals has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Stone Legion Generals guide. Footage of Stone Legion Generals for this boss guide is from PTR raid testing and some mechanics may look different or change when the Castle Nathria raid releases on live servers starting December 8th.
In Phase One, you fight General Kaal on the ground while Grashaal harasses from the air. Targets of Kaal's Wicked Blade need to spread out from others and each other, and make sure there's a clear path between them and the boss, and each other. Healers can stagger dispels on Heart Rend to safely manage the Heart Hemorrhage burst DoT. Players that get bleeds in this fight will find they last until removed, and to do that you'll need to make use of Grashaal's Stone Breaker Combo.
Stone Breaker Combo starts by channeling Crystallize on a target, then doing the Crystalline AOE burst on them. The Burst stuns and cleanses bleeds, so anyone with a bleed should get in and everyone else stays out. Finally, a Pulverizing Meteor soak attack spawns that nearby players can get in to help absorb. This happens throughout the fight.
At 50% health, Kaal Stone Forms. You need to kill adds, pick up the Anima Orbs they drop and bring them to Renathal so he can break the Stone Form with his Shattering Blast. It knocks you back, so stay near him when it's about to go off. That brings you into Phase Two, where Kaal takes to the skies and you fight Grashaal on the ground.
Phase Two adds in Reverberating Eruptions, which spawn AOE patches under a target player as well as turning the previous Eruption patches into a soak mechanic. Being targeted or soaking an Eruption gives you Reverberating Vulnerability, making you take lethal damage from another one while the debuff is up. Players without the debuff need to stand in old patches every Eruption to take the soak.
Grashaal will Stone Fist his tank, a cone attack with a knockback and debuff. The tank puts their back to a wall, nobody else get in front and swap on two ish stacks.
