Typically you hear of animals camouflaging to hide from their predators, however there are some marine species that do the opposite. Biofluorescence allows underwater creatures to generate light; however, the more mysterious process is called bioluminescence, where organisms take in one wavelength of light and reemit a different wavelength. Different species of corals, fish, crabs and sharks appear neon when exposed to UV light and scientists are eager to discover what this means for their survival.
