I tested positive for COVID 3weeks ago. It was an unexpected experience for me since i felt perfectly fine and that was a few days before the symptoms started.
The first symptom that began to manifest was FEVER. I remember checking my body temperature every now and then just to see if there were slight changes and rise of my temperature. I began to worry when i started to feel a different kind of chills on a very warm morning and when evening came i started to feel unwell. So when i checked my body temp i already had a low grade fever and it kept rising. That is then i decided to go to the hospital to have myself test for COVID.
I was admitted and isolated at the hospital. My COVID test result came out and unfortunately it was POSITIVE (huhuhu😢). While confined in the hospital, aside from losing my sense of TASTE and SMELL, i was able to reflect on how COVID made a lot of changes in my way of life. In my opinion this was, in a way, a good thing. I was able to emphasize more to myself in realizing the importance of health protocols like wearing of our MASKS and FACESHIELDS especially in crowded places, covering our mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, sanitizing our hands and of course HANDWASHING even if our hands aren't visibly soiled. We seriously need to make it a habit!
What i did during my isolation days for me to get better were eating the right meals (eat veggies to be exact haha), eat fruits, gargle bactidol every now and then and sometimes with warm water with salt, drink yakult and milk (igco colostrum), daily strecthing, water, water, LOTS of water! Take vitamins (immuno pro, kirkland signature vitamin c 500mg from mommy, and the supplements forever from ate erica), get some sunlight, tuob, and zumba (pasingot). Finally, before i went to sleep and close my eyes and upon waking up in the morning i pray pray and pray (asking God for guidance and surrendering all my worries and fears to Him).
It wasn't easy to be alone and be isolated away from your family for how many days. It also made me realized the importance of support and care that we are getting from our FAMILY in these trying times.
I already tested NEGATIVE for COVID and I thank the Lord for being with me always, for not worsening my symptoms, for keeping my family healthy and for the blessings He keeps on showering me. I thank my family, friends, colleagues and everyone who wishes me well and believed in me that i can survive fighting this virus, and for their constant encouragement, and to the medical staffs for their sacrifices in fighting COVID.
I believe that everything that has happened is God's will. This COVID journey of mine was indeed a blessing in disguise and everything was according to His plan. That's why i believe there is no one to be blamed in every situation that we have, may it be good or bad.🙏🙏🙏 #keepsafeveryone #GodBlessUsAllAlways
