Jay vilas Mahal is the present residence of Scindia Royal Family in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. and also a grand museum.
This palace was built in 1874 by Jayaji Rao Scindia ji, who was the Maharaja of Gwalior.
At that time, Rs 1 crore spent in building this palace.
This palace is spread over 12, 40,771 square feet.
This palace is counted in India's largest diplomats.
This palace is an amazing example of European architecture.
Sir Michael Filose had designed and built this palace.
This palace is famous for its huge durbar hall.
Durbar hall interior decorated with gilt and gold accessories
And a huge carpet and huge chandelier put four moons in its glory.
The Durbar Halls chandelier is three and a half tons in weight.
They were told when the strength of the roof was measured by raising ten elephants on the roof.
You can see things like cut glass furniture, a stuffed tiger and only women's swimming pools with their own boat.
The 35 rooms of this palace have been made a museum.
Another popular item of this museum is silver rails, whose tracks are on the dining table.
And it serves railways in special food festivals.
