Kashmiri are the decedents of sarswat brahmins who used to live on the banks of river yamuna...they are the first citizens of kashmir valley...In 1989-90 the brahmin community of kashmir were forced to leave their ancestral land...they were given three choices only either to accept islam or leave their ancestral land or die...many of the pandits were killed,womens were raped and then killed and thrown naked on the streets...In 28 years of exile of kashmiri pandits nothing had done for them they have been alloted a single room in which 5-8 persons live in a single room... today the whole community is facing the fear of extinction...please stand for the kashmiri pandit community and raise your voice against terrorism....
