The McMaster University Healthcare Salute Project aims to leverage research to support healthcare workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The project built research-based online resources, designed to provide psychoeducation on mental health- and trauma-related topics, as well as to act as trauma-prevention strategies for future work. The project also provides cultural competency through healthcare provider stories for clinicians working with healthcare providers and challenges the stigma for PTSD by talking about lived experience.
