Olympic champions from the Chinese mainland dazzled athletes and sports lovers in Hong Kong on Sunday as they showed off their skills during a visit to the region.
The champions are part of a mainland delegation consisting of badminton players, table tennis players, divers and swimmers that arrived in Hong Kong on Saturday.
Local residents formed long queues to buy tickets to watch the demonstrations, saying they were excited to see the champions up close.
The badminton and table tennis teams put on superb demonstrations at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, and the air was filled with applause and cheers.
A diving performance was held at Victoria Park later in the day.
After their visit to Hong Kong, the athletes will head to Macao on Monday.
China won 26 gold, 18 silver and 26 bronze medals at the Rio Olympics, ranking third in the gold medal tally and second in the total medal tally.More on:[ Ссылка ]
