One piece of equipment that comes with me on every professional shoot is my Wireless HDMI monitor. While there are several "pro level" wireless HDMI solutions available, they tend to be pretty expensive. After some searching online I was able to find the components I needed to create my own wireless HDMI monitor rig at a fraction of the cost.
Keep in mind that this is technically not a professional solution. This means the range and signal stability will not match that of the more expensive, professional solutions (Paralinx, Radian Pro, IDX, etc.). This should be used for monitoring only, and should not be relied upon for sending a signal to an external recorder. If you want to record from your wireless signal, I would recommend using this same setup, but upgrading from the Nyrius to a more professional level wireless system.
Also, the Lilliput monitor I used is not a professional monitor and will not necessarily give you accurate colors, brightness, and contrast levels. If you need a professional monitoring solution, you can swap out the Lilliput monitor for any professional level monitor (smallhd, Marshall Electronics, Atomos, etc.).
