(13 Jan 2017) DAVID LETTERMAN ATTENDS FUNERAL FOR PARALYZED NYC POLICE OFFICER
David Letterman attended the funeral Friday (13 JAN. 2017) for a police officer known for forgiving a teen gunman who paralyzed him.
Steven McDonald, 59, was left paralyzed in 1986 after being shot while on duty in Central Park in 1986. He was given five years to live but survived 30. He remained on the NYPD's payroll as a detective until his death.
McDonald died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack last week.
