Ingredients:
For Tikki:
- 1 cup boiled kala chana
- 1/4 cup oats
- 2-3 tbsp water
- 2-3 tbsp curd
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp dry mango powder
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp oil
For Salad:
- onion
- Grated carrot
- Sliced capsicum
- Shredded cabbage
- Chopped tomato
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder to taste
- Roasted cumin powder to taste
- Chaat masala to taste
- Lemon juice to taste
For Plating:
- Curd
- Tamarind chutney
- Coriander mint chutney
- Finely chopped onion
- Sev
Method:
1. Prepare the Tikki:
- In a bowl, mash the boiled kala chana.
- Add oats, water, curd, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and dry mango powder. Mix well.
- Fold in the chopped coriander leaves.
- Shape the mixture into small tikkis.
- Heat oil in a pan and cook the tikkis until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Set aside.
2. Make the Salad:
- In a bowl, mix the onion, carrot, capsicum, cabbage, and tomato.
- Season with salt, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and lemon juice. Toss well.
