A brief introduction to the software control panel of Antelope Audio's Pure2 Mastering AD/DA Converter & Master Clock, its basic functions and features.
Pure2 is a mastering-grade 24-bit, 192 kHz AD/DA 2-channel converter and master clock that includes a relay-controlled volume attenuator. It features Antelope Audio’s world-renowned, 4th generation Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter management algorithm resulting in the company's signature uncompromising combination of digital audio clarity and analog realism.
The intuitive, MAC and Windows compatible, software control panel provides you with the ability to manage and control all aspects of the device operation from your computer. The Main tab allows you to switch between audio sources and control the volume of both the monitor and headphones outputs. All analog outputs can be individually assigned to different sources.
The digital outputs and inputs selection is under the Digital tab. You can have three different digital sources connected to the Pure2 and a sample rate converter that will change the sample rate of the incoming signal to the one you selected. A tone generator and trim selector for both digital and analog outputs are available in the I/O tab.
The Settings panel allows you to adjust tinier details as the front panel display brightness but crucial elements such as sample rate and master clock source as well. Through the "?" button you can check for firmware updates. The system can be also switched on and off from the software control panel, allowing you to interact with the Pure2 exclusively from your computer.
User-definable presets are also available and easy to switch between.
