Steamed chicken with scallion and ginger sauce is one of my favorites.
Not only it’s easy, but it’s tasty (it comes out the natural taste of the chicken).
What I liked from this recipes is the chicken are rubbed only by salt without other ingredients. The real deal is when you dip the chicken into the ginger scallion sauce.
INGREDIENTS
800 g Whole Chicken
3 tsp Salt
FOR THE SAUCE
200 g Ginger, sliced
100 g Green Onions
1-2 tsp Salt
1 tsp White Sugar
Cooking Oil
Sesame Oil
PROCEDURE
First rub salt evenly on both sides of the cleaned chicken. Set aside for 30 minutes. Then place the chicken into a steaming plate.
Steam over high heat for 25 minutes. After 25 mins turn off the fire and leave inside wok for 1 hour with cover.
Chop the ginger and the green onions. Then put the ginger sliced into a blender or chopper.
Blend the ginger until like a paste.
Transfer into a bowl ,add the chopped green onions, add salt and sugar, heat oil in a pan then pour the oil into the ginger mixture.
Mix together drizzle some sesame oil.
Cut the chicken into pieces, then serve with rice.
