The new Ozito / Einhell Freelexo Cam PXRLMK-500 robot mower has a few issues:
- It struggles to see properly in the bright Australian sun and repeatedly detects the lawn ahead as an obstacle.
- It can trap itself in an area it thinks is NOT lawn despite it being surrounded by lawn.
- When trying to escape a trap it's even more suspicious the ground isn't lawn, even when the blades aren't spinning.
- When trying to return to the charging station it stops the blades and becomes more suspicious the ground isn't lawn, trapping itself again.
- The body height is too low, and not linked to the cut height. This makes it hard for it to turn, and makes it jam itself into the ground when transitioning from going downhill to flat.
- It provides no feedback on why it's misbehaving. ie. why is it stuck, grass too long? grass too brown? It doesn't recognise that weed? Too many leaves? Too big of a clump of grass clippings? Slope too steep? Ground too bumpy? Who would know, because it doesn't say.
