How to make a powerful wooden hold-down quick clamp that can be used as an accessory on a mitre saw or workbench. There are free plans to accompany this video, as well as assembly tips: [ Ссылка ]
I have been using the Bosch GTM12 Combi Saw, which is both table and mitre saw, for at least 7 years, and have always wanted a clamping system for it. I finally caved and made one, and I can't believe I didn't do it earlier!
The design I made uses a small block of old pallet wood and a scrap 16mm metal round bar. It is very fast acting thanks to the cam at the head of the clamp. the cam is simply a circle of wood cut out with a hole-saw, with an off-centre hole drilled in it. Rotating it forces it against the bottom jaw of the clamp, tightening it all up.
