Over the past few years, Summit Racing's been building up a big assortment of aftermarket performance upgrade parts for the GM LS engine family. In fact, it’s now reached a point where we can pretty much build an entire LS performance engine using parts from the Summit Racing Pro LS catalog. And to prove it, that’s basically what we doing here.
But this isn’t just any engine build. We want to get 1,000 rear-wheel horsepower out of a 6.0 liter LS engine block. And to do it, we’re upgrading the cam, rotating assembly, pistons, valvetrain, and a whole lot more. Oh, and we’re tossing on a pair of our new race-spec turbochargers for a little forced induction magic too.
In this intro video, get acquainted with the Summit Racing cast, see the parts, and get a rough idea of how we’re going to make this build happen. Then stay tuned, because you’re going to want to see the rest in the Summit Racing Project 1000 engine build series.
