(8 Aug 2015) Nine jurors were in favour of imposing the death penalty on James Holmes for his killing spree in a Colorado theatre in June 2012, but one was steadfastly opposed and two others were wavering, a juror told reporters after the verdict was announced.
As a result, James Holmes will be sentenced to life in prison after the verdict shocked the courtroom
Holmes killed 12 and injured 70 during the midnight screening of a Batman movie in a Colorado movie theater in June 2012.
