This quick video shows you how to attach a fine link chain to a clasp without welding or soldering. By wire wrapping figure 8 style loops, you can attach them as securely as if they had been soldered.
First use wire that can go through the chain, wrap one loop, slide the chain into the loop before closing the loop with multiple wraps, thus locking the chain inside the loop. Trim excess wire.
Do the same on the other side: make a loop, slide the clasp or soldered ring into the loop before wrapping the loop closed. The effect is like a tiny bow tie. Trim and straighten.
Tip - make the loops as closely together as possible, allowing for just enough room for the wraps, which should meet together without any gap for optimal smoothness.
