I was expecting worse because of all the online chatter and YouTube horror videos. It's not bad at all. There's 3 spots that I can see when I'm detailing the car, but if you're more than 6 ft away, they're barely noticeable.
The gap on the rear hatch is larger on the passenger side. The bumper to the corner of the rear brake light, gap is slightly larger on the driver's side. And the headlight to bumper gap is slightly larger on the passenger's side headlight assembly. Other than that, it's pretty good. There's a few spots on the paint that I see, again, while detailing. The orange peel is bad. There's a small patch on the front bumper where the "flakes" in the pearlescent white seems to have slightly clumped together, or wasn't mixed well, and caused a visible difference to the surrounding area if you're inches away from it. There's some "pooling" of the clear coat on the trunk cover. There are a lot of spots where different color panels come together and if you're again, inches away, it looks like they painted it with a masking tape.
Again, I came from a C7 Corvette Grand Sport before this. None of this is nearly as bad as what's on the C7, and I've learned to accept the idiosyncrasies. I mean, GM is particularly bad, and I'm used to ze Germans when it comes to quality. But I suppose it's not any worse than say, the 350Z from Nissan I owned back in the early 2000s or the odd fitment issues with the Hyundai Veloster. #shrug
