The Fiat Uno, launched in 1983 and designed by the renowned Giorgetto Giugiaro, was a popular and affordable supermini. With over 8 million examples built, the Uno replaced the much loved Fiat 127. Even though Fiat had long been retired from the world of Formula One Racing, they did understand the value of marketing and in December 1983, the Uno was European Car of the Year for 1984, finishing narrowly ahead of the Peugeot 205. This footage includes great shots of production models of Fiat Uno testing and the Fiat Ritmo in Abarth colors, on the track.
