The Robot 17 system is a missile developed in Sweden based on the AGM-114 Hellfire missile from the United States. It was first produced in the 1980s by a company called Bofors Defense (now called Saab Bofors Dynamics). While the Hellfire missile was intended to target armored vehicles from a distance using an attack helicopter like the AH-64 Apache, the Robot 17 can also be launched from shore or naval vessels. It uses laser guidance and has a range of around five miles, However, in normal operating conditions, this is probably a bit less. It can be used both on land and at sea, targeting ships and coastal defenses. The system is similar to the Ukrainian Neptune missile system which was used to hit the Moskva ship
