At Computex 2022, AMD shared some details regarding their next generation Ryzen 7000 CPUs for the desktop using their new Zen 4 architecture along with info on their AM5 600 series motherboards. One of the details highlighted was in regards to their 15% single threaded uplift. This increase takes into account IPC and the boost frequency. Therefore, many are speculating that Zen 4 might not be as fast as everyone had hoped. This is concerning considering the fact if Intel makes another huge leap with Raptor Lake they could leave AMD in the dust when it comes to gaming and productivity.
