Have you ever done a workout with a chair? Well, here ya go! The chair provides extra support and different opportunities for toning. Doesn't matter if you use a particular kind of chair - you can use whatever is available to you.
Some things to keep in mind for this routine:
* ALWAYS keep your knees and toes in the same plane; rotating toes out from the top of your femurs in the hip socket and not at the knee joint.
* Aside from the beginning portion behind the chair (where hips are in lateral rotation - or second position), the entire routine is in a parallel position. So, knees and toes facing forward.
* Try to keep soft, muscularly supported knees, as opposed to locked and hyper-extended knees.
* Keeping your core engaged, a neutral pelvis, and level hips will help with balance.
* You never have to let go of the chair if you don't want to!
* Deeper squats and lunges will increase intensity, while more shallow movements will decrease intensity - so work within a safe, though challenging level for your current fitness level.
