The Last Kingdom Season 5 Will NOT Be On Netflix.. Here's Why!

Welcome back to Flixified, today on the channel we are going to talk about The Last Kingdom season 5 will not be coming to Netflix. If there’s one thing we’re keeping an eye on, it’s The Last Kingdom season 5 release date. Sadly, it’s not happening in August 2021. We’re at the point in the month where we get ready for exciting additions to Netflix the following month. For The Last Kingdom fans, there’s still a wait for season 5. We’ve checked the list twice just to make sure, but The Last Kingdom season 5 is not on the list. Yes, that’s going to be very disappointing to hear. Even though it is the final season and we’re not ready for it to end, we still want to see what’s in store for Uhtred and his band of Merry Men…wait, wrong universe! The Last Kingdom season 5 is still planned as the last. There are more books that continue Uhtred’s journey, but you’ll need to read them if you want to see what happens after the upcoming series finale.

When are we looking at The Last Kingdom season 5 coming to Netflix? Not for some time, sadly. The show wasn’t on the list of those that are definitely arriving in Q4 of 2021. That means we’re likely waiting until 2022. When in the new year? The good news is filming has finished. The show will now go through post-production, which can take a good number of months. It’s why the show likely won’t arrive on Netflix before this year is finished. While this isn’t a fantasy show, there is a lot of editing for the big battle scenes, and we know there are plenty of them coming. This is something we’ll keep an eye on. It’s one of the best shows on Netflix, and while it may be the last, we’re still going to make sure the fifth season makes it in the No. 1 spot of the Top 10. Stay tuned to know more in this video.
