This video documents hurricane-force wind gusts over outer Cape Cod, MA, USA from the October 2021 Nor'easter on 10/26/21 - 10/27/21. This video does not, at any point, picture instantaneous winds speeds greater than the low 80s mph. Most shots are in fact between 55-75mph. Peak conditions did not arrive until hours later when a 110.0mph maximum instantaneous wind gust was recorded at 3:12:56am EDT 10/27 on a temporary anemometer tripod at the pictured location in Wellfleet.
A fixed MAREPAM station at The Beachcomber in Wellfleet / Cahoon Hollow recorded an instant max gust of 97mph, 1.2km north of the site pictured here.
The latter portion of the video depicts inland conditions along Route 6A in Orleans about 5 hours before peak conditions, pre-storm deployment and post-storm retrieval video of temporary Wellfleet anemometer tripod, and screenshots of wind instruments/data collected.
