"King" (written as King.) is the fourth studio album by American rapper T.I., released on March 28, 2006, under Grand Hustle Records and Atlantic Records. It took about one and a half years to finish recording the album in late 2005, as mentioned by T.I. in an interview with MTV News. The production involved many well-known record producers, such as DJ Toomp, Just Blaze, Mannie Fresh, Swizz Beatz, Keith Mack, Travis Barker, The Neptunes, Kevin "Khao" Cates, Nick "Fury" Loftin, and Tony Galvin, among others. Additionally, the album serves as the soundtrack to T.I.'s first feature film, ATL.

Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. (born September 25, 1980), better known by his stage names T.I. and Tip, is an American rapper. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and is considered one of the pioneers of trap music, a subgenre of hip hop. T.I. became involved in the music industry in the late 1990s through local music executive Kawan "KP" Prather and joined his company Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment. He signed his first major-label record deal with LaFace Records, a division of Arista Records, in 1999. His debut studio album, "I'm Serious" (2001), didn't do well commercially and was his only release with that label.
