What is the correct tongue resting posture? Elevated and gently suctioned to the roof of the mouth. Check your baby's tongue position when baby is asleep. Elevate it gently if it is down. Proper tongue resting posture facilitates optimal craniofacial growth and oral development. Please note, this video is not a substitute for therapy. Oral function therapy should always be provided and exercises guided by a licensed IBCLC, SLP, or OT specializing in infant feeding. Care in this video is provided by Lana Fedyushkina, MS, CCC/SLP, IBCLC. For more information and support visit www.TickTalkTherapy.com.
