This video shows how to use a guide post as a stop with a rotary broaching tool holder. The stop allows the operator to remove the broach and drill out the chips before broaching is complete. Excessive, tough or binding chips can add significant pressure to the rotary broaching process. After the chips are drilled out, he can use the stop as an alignment tool to keep the broach in proper orientation in order to complete the process. The set screw has been replaced by a longer screw that acts as a dog.
