Most anchors are made for concrete, but what about brick? Unlike concrete, brick runs the risk of cracking from a bottom-only expansion that is the method of most masonry anchors like drop ins and wedge anchors. On a double expansion anchor, the entire anchor expands, rather than just the bottom portion, making them usable on brick without cracking.
In this video, we cover double expansion anchors, how they are ideal for installations in brick, and how they are installed. Our fastener specialist also shares some tips about installing double expansion anchors in brick and what you need to know.
