The documentary "Saving America's Catholic Schools" will chronicle the rich history of Catholic Schools in America, attempt to identify what's working, what's not and more importantly what can we do?

The film tells the story of hundreds of years Catholic Education history with artifacts, personal testimonials and narration. Historic segments are juxtaposed by interviews with America's leading educators, at some of the top schools in the country. Finally, throughout the film we follow the story of Catholic School graduates, current students and hopefuls.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) commonly referred to as the nation's report card, only slightly more than half of the nation's students entering high school will graduate. Of those completing high school, less than half will continue to college and a startling 50% of those will drop out before completing the first year.

Within low-income and minority student demographics these numbers are even worse. How is it then that some of America's most successful education institutions struggle to remain open? And perhaps more importantly -- what can we do to change this?
