In the exploration of core work we can look at a few different movement categories: first stabilizing the upper core and isolating movement in the lower core. Then changing our orientation to the wall to isolate upper core movement and stabilize the lower body position. Then we will look at two different way of challenging core stability: movement of the arms & legs in a contralateral (opposite side) or ipsilateral (same side) pattern.
