In Poland, BSF is deploying several Ideas Box libraries on the Ukrainian border to welcome and inform refugees fleeing war. These Ideas Box spaces provide families with books in Ukrainian, board games, creative materials, a television and computers to offer a moment of escape and respite in the midst of hardship.
BSF's Ambassador Augustin Trapenard and Louis Villers visited the reception center of Korczowa, a converted shopping mall, to testify to the essential role of a library and to remind people of the importance of taking intellectual needs into consideration in emergency responses.
